Why Micro$ux has to worry! Over the past few years I have been a avid user of all things Google. If I need to write a letter or document of some sort, I use Google Docs. If I need to keep track of important dates, I have Google Calender. For news I go to Google News, and of course everyone knows about GMail aka Google ...Mail. There is a whole bevy of programs and items Google has to offer, and they are at the very best price --> Free.

Now they are really trying to knock Microsoft back a notch or two. Just recently Google just started distributing their very own operating system Chrome OS. For geeks like me that's wonderful news!! Chrome OS is based on the Linux operating system. Now most people think Linux is difficult to learn, not true. If you were given a choice when you bought your first PC between a Windows, with all it's virus problems an constant security updates, security updates that come two or three months after the problem is found. Or a operating system that is supported by millions of people world wide and has little or no security threats, an when there is a security threat it is fixed in just a few days as opposed to months. Linux isn't just for the geeks or hackers, it is user friendly, can run most of the popular third party software available to Microsoft. Yes all your favorite software for Microsoft can run on a Linux based computer.

Why would anybody want to spend $100 to $400 to upgrade to a operating system that might not even work on their old PC. With Linux you can dig those old computers out of storage load them up with Linux an they will still work as good as new. Think about it folks every time Microsoft updates their operating system you end up spending $400 to $1000 just to keep up, stop it!!!! Here's some words we all need to think about, Recycle and Reuse!!!! With Linux you don't have to spend that money to keep up with the Jones, you can blow by them by being thrifty.

Folks it's time to throw off the shackles Micro$ux is bind us with. Make a New Years resolution and resolve to try Linux!!!
